Empowering young people through sustainable textile design
Let’s Create and Reuse is our pioneering, sustainability-focused textile project. Designed initially for secondary school students, it tackles the impact of fast fashion on the climate crisis through hands-on learning. The immersive courses educate students about the impact of textile waste on the planet and promotes the upcycling of denim and cotton clothing into new creations.
The programme is delivered by ArtLAB Creative Director, Libby Esler and assistant Kate in collaboration with Broadweavers And Clothiers Guild of Coventry, with support from industry experts.
Through creative arts workshops, ArtLAB champion the mission to give materials a second life and making a difference…
Through workshops and education programmes, Let’s Create & Reuse champions the repair, reuse, recycling and remanufacturing of textiles to ensure they stay in a circular loop.
