TRAILBLAZER
Our Trailblazer Programme is an intensive five-week course designed for A-Level Textile students, pushing their creativity beyond the classroom. This fast-paced programme encourages out-of-the-box thinking, introducing fresh concepts that aren’t typically covered in school.
Students explore the intersection of AI and the fashion industry, gain insight into creative careers, and focus on future possibilities in design. The final week features an exhilarating Sewing Bee Challenge, where students have just two hours to craft a bold, colourful piece, showcasing their skills in both design and construction. This programme is all about innovation, ambition, and unlocking true creative potential!

Students are handpicked to take part in our Trailblazer Programme, making this an exclusive opportunity for those with exceptional talent and creative flair. In our first year, we invited teachers to select students they believe are truly gifted in textiles and design.
This year, we are thrilled to welcome students from Blue Coat School and Bishop Ullathorne, with our lucky eight participants competing for six bursary opportunities, generously funded by Broadweavers, to support their journey into higher education. This programme is not just about learning—it’s about unlocking potential and shaping the future of the next generation of designers.
